@@ Nowadays when people”s views on health are dominated by modem medical science,the unique theoretical system of traditional Chinese medicine is a stranger to most modem people.Due to the archaisms,the definite meanings of many terms and words in traditional Chinese medical books and records have not been acknowledged.The medical science seems to have a vague relationship with diVination.The effect of some mysterious recipes can not be verified.All these make the research on medical history in ancient China so difficult.Even if the above”obstacles”are overcome,it still seems an impossible iob for scholars to discuss the issue of Chinese female”s medical treatment from 2nd century B.C.to 10th century A.D.and to put the issue in the field of gender study to explore the situation of female”s health care during this period.
