[Standard English标准英语]
Standard English (SE) is the variety of English that is usually used in writing,taught in schools,and used as the model for teaching non-native speakers.Because it is the variety normaly spoken by educated people,it has a privileged status over other varieties.The linguistic features of SE are codified in its grammar and its vocabulary,including its spelling.Its pronunciation may vary,however.Standard English is not necessarily spoken with the accent that is also considered a standard,ie,Received Pronunciation.
