Status Quo and Facing Problems of Army Equipment Construction in China

People's Liberation Army of China began with the Army. In history, the Chinese Army has created splendid achievements. Nowadays, the Army is still the main body and cornerstone of Chinese military. The development level of the Army directly determines China's national defense capability and the level of military modernization. Since the army was founded 90 years ago, it has made remarkable achievements in many aspects such as organizational and equipment construction, personnel training, and logistics support. From 'revolutionizing with two kitchen knives' in the early stage of the army's foundation, to 'equipping millet plus rifles' during the Anti-Japanese War period, then to 'overall equipment depending on confiscation' in the early years of the People's Republic of China's establishment, and finally until today, realizing independent innovation of equipment, the Chinese Army has gone through a long way of development and achieved remarkable success in construction. Since the Party's 18th National Congress, the construction of army equipment has stepped into a rapid development stage.
