China-US Relations:The General Trend and Short Cycles

Since the second half of 2023,China-US relations have shown signs of improvement.While maintaining the primary framework of its containment policy,the American policy toward China has undergone some tactical adjustments,such as increasing exchanges with China,presenting a flexible stance toward bilateral economic and trade relations,and seeking limited cooperation while competing with China.At the same time,China has also adjusted its US policy by actively managing bilateral relations to promote US policy adjustments on China in a positive direction while keeping tough on its response to US containment.
