In October 2011, Chongqing Municipality of China and Antwerp Province of Belgium signed the Agreement on the Establishment of Sister Relationship. In the same year, the POM Antwerp set up its representative office in Chongqing to promote cooperation between two places.
Over the past decade, two sides have witnessed multiple high-level mutual visits, continuous economic and trade exchanges, active matchmaking between businesses and vibrant people-to-people exchanges, making the foundation of friendship increasingly solid.
